Laura and husband Sam, from March Cambridgeshire, sadly suffered a miscarriage four years ago and at that time there was no support available where they lived. It wasn’t until a couple of years later Laura found out about Petals and decided that she wanted to help.

“I want to be able to raise funds which will go towards helping other parents get the support we didn’t have, as well as raising awareness of the charity and for parents to know they are not on their own.”

Prompted further, by the Suspension of the service at the Rosie Hospital, Laura decided to hold a Ladies Pamper Evening in Little Downham, near Ely. Laura encouraged local businesses to come along and support her event and on the night there were over 25 stalls offering a range of gifts, homemade crafts and pampering products. Laura also organised a raffle, sourcing prizes from businesses, friends and family. In total the evening raised over £1,600, including a donation from Lloyds Bank.

A huge thank you to Laura and all the ladies who supported the evening, your support has enabled Petals to support many more families across Cambridgeshire.
