A new health campaign called Healthwatch has recently been set up by the UK charity, CSV. The aim is to get individuals and local groups from the community to become involved and voice their opinion on how they believe the local health care service could be improved.

Local groups and people are invited to declare their support and interest by signing up online to join a map of groups and individuals in England who are interested and ready to get involved with local Healthwatch activities in their area.

This is a great chance to have your say about your local healthcare services.  Oonagh Aitken, CSV director of Social Action and Volunteering says: “The changes in the health and care system must be driven by the needs and preferences of local people. So to help people get involved we will help them to get their voices heard by the new organisations in charge of our health and social care services.”
